Description
82-2034-CIL-60X Portable Microscope > Peak-Lupe portable measuring microscope, Portable Microscopes
The Peak Lupe 2034 series microscopes are available as a special model with centered illumination (Köhler illumination). The centered illumination is reflected via a light beam from the side of a prism system. This prevents irritating reflections, particularly with high-gloss and reflective materials. This illumination is important for inspecting surface structures on smooth materials or for high-contrast rendering of color pigments. The battery box included with the microscope contains two 1.5-volt AA batteries and features a potentiometer to adjust the light intensity.
The optical system is identical between the 2034 and 2054 series CIL measuring microscopes. The base is made of aluminum and is not available as an acrylic base. The 2034-CIL measuring microscope can be combined with a special MST stand to provide stability on rolls or curved surfaces.
Focusing by rotation on the microscope body of the 2034 series is easier, especially at high magnification factors, compared to the 2054 series. Additionally, this version works best in combination with digital cameras, as the camera’s weight cannot alter the focus.
An eight-megapixel, miniature USB camera with a built-in lens and autofocus can be ordered and easily attached to the eyepiece using an adapter. This allows images to be displayed and saved on a laptop or PC, either using the original camera driver (English only) or with the metric BE software (24 languages). The images from this compact, industrial-quality camera are highly impressive.
