Description
82-CV-1490-SE-C Video Microscope > Cameras
Small, robust camera delivering perfect images.
The SE Series USB cameras are the best all-round color cameras with USB 2.0 connectivity for use in microscopy, quality control, and automation. Small, compact, and robust, they are equipped with a 1/2″ CMOS sensor from Aptina that delivers excellent pixel performance and sensor functionality.
Key features of the CV-1490-SE-C:
• USB 2.0 connector
• 1/2″ Color CMOS sensor (Aptina)
• Resolution 3840 x 2748
• 10 MPixel
• 3 fps
• Rolling shutter
• Full HD resolution in AOI mode
• Large field of view
• Easy-to-use software
The USB 2.0 interface makes the camera extremely flexible, cost-effective, and space-saving, as data is transmitted and power is supplied via a single cable. The digital inputs and outputs for controlling the shutter and flash are optically isolated and handle process signals up to 30V. The cameras can be screwed on from all sides and can therefore be installed anywhere. A specially developed sensor seal provides protection in extremely dusty environments. The camera filter is also replaceable and easy to clean.
Carefully consider the resolution you need, as higher resolution results in fewer images transferred per second. Higher resolution also requires better lighting. Using CCD chips instead of CMOS makes USB cameras more light-sensitive, but they are also more expensive. When using measurement software such as KITEC where automatic measurements (image editing) are not performed, we recommend choosing a maximum of 1600 x 1200 pixels. However, if stored images are to be edited with image editing software, it is practical to work with higher resolutions, as more pixels available lead to better results.
The delivery of the USB camera includes the original drivers (in English), which can be used to display and save JPEG and bitmap images or video in AVI format. Optionally, the camera can be supplied with KITEC measurement software, which provides significantly more convenient operation and a comprehensive range of measurement functions. A key advantage of using KITEC software is activation without the need for a dongle, as the software release code is integrated into the camera itself. When ordering, choose either the original camera driver or one of two KITEC versions: ECO or PRO (see KITEC software for more information).
